Quail eggs in spring and summer

Thank you for supporting our small homestead. Every order helps us give the birds steady care, good food, clean homes, and seasonal rest when their bodies need it.

Our egg season

Quail eggs are available in spring and summer. When the laying season ends, we give the quail a quiet pause and let their bodies rest.

Planning a balut order

When you message us, include your name or store name, city, approximate quantity, and how often you may want an order. We will talk through spring and summer availability and make sure the timing works for everyone.

Pickling fresh quail eggs

Quail eggs can be hard-cooked, peeled, and enjoyed in a refrigerator pickle. For safety, choose one of the National Center for Home Food Preservation's tested pickling liquids without changing its vinegar and water proportions, keep the eggs covered by the liquid, and keep the jar refrigerated the whole time.

The Center says small eggs generally need one to two weeks to take on the flavor. Home-pickled eggs are not shelf-stable and are not a product we offer for resale.
